Luxury Collection Tasting Flight – 175th Anniversary Edition

- Duration: 45 Minutes (approx.)
- Location: Barossa Valley, SA
Discover Seppeltsfield’s Luxury Collection Tasting Experience in our Seppeltsfield Cellar Door, presented as a special 175th Anniversary edition. Established in 1851, Seppeltsfield has played a defining role in the Barossa for over a century and a half, and this tasting celebrates the Estate’s enduring legacy through a showcase of our finest Single Vineyard Barossa wines alongside our renowned fortifieds.
This in-depth tasting experience takes you on a journey through our luxury red and fortified wines, showcasing our Great Terraced Vineyard Grenache and selected wines from our Single Vineyard Grounds range of Shiraz, each reflecting Seppeltsfield’s long-standing connection to place.
The Great Terraced Vineyard, planted on the Estate hillside, consists of bush vine Grenache growing in clay loam with outcrops of ironstone, quartz, and bluestone. Originally planted in 1855, the vineyard was replanted in contoured rows in 1958 to follow the natural shape of the land, using meticulously selected original cuttings to ensure the highest quality.
The Grounds Collection is inspired by a study conducted by Barossa Australia, bringing together winemakers, grape growers and climatic science experts, to evaluate and identify the variations of Barossa Shiraz across all four points of the compass.
Guided by our knowledgeable cellar door hosts, you will gain insight into Seppeltsfield’s approach to viticulture and winemaking, including fermentation through the historic 1888 Gravity Cellar, as well as the fortified wine traditions that have shaped the Estate over 175 years.
